Located on the edge of Laukontori in Tampere, Restaurant Kaijakka is a traditional entertainment restaurant founded in 1964, known especially for its karaoke. The restaurant is open every day of the week, offering long opening hours that stretch into the early hours of the morning. Kaijakka markets itself as a place with the best karaoke in Tampere, top-quality sound reproduction and a wide selection of songs. Upstairs in the restaurant is the Night Bar, open at weekends, which has a nightclub-like atmosphere along with games that lend a pub-like feel, such as billiards and table football. Food, such as wings, is also available in the space right up until last call. In addition, the restaurant has a sauna section available for rent for private use, with lounge space for about 10 people. The sauna section has its own karaoke equipment, and drink service is handled through the restaurant.
