Kajanuksen sauna

Located in the Upinniemi garrison area in Kirkkonummi, Kajanus's sauna is a castle-like stone building designed by architect Eliel Saarinen in the late 19th century, known for its unique history. Originally built for the composer Robert Kajanus, the sauna served as a meeting place for the masters of the golden age of Finnish art, such as Jean Sibelius and Eino Leino. The Suomenlinna Coastal Artillery Guild restored the dilapidated building in the 1980s, and today this granite castle offers magnificent surroundings for private events, crowned by the view over Porkkalanselkä opening up from the roof terrace. Guild members can book the sauna for themselves and their party.
