The Southwest Häme Pirtti is an atmospheric local heritage house, opened in 1948 in the Saari public park in Tammela. It represents traditional peasant log construction, highlighting materials gathered through voluntary communal work and the region's cultural heritage. From the very beginning, the Pirtti has served as a centre for local heritage work, and its activities have been linked to the historical development of local heritage associations and the Finnish Local Heritage Federation. A little apart from the restaurant there is a small log sauna on the shore of Lake Suujärvi.
