Maisaari is an outdoor recreation island owned by the City of Turku, formerly a center for peasant sailing in Rymättylä. In the summer, the island can be reached from Turku by water bus. The recreation island has a football and volleyball field, a disc golf course, and plenty of yard games. In addition, the island has numerous grill shelters, beach saunas, and a sandy beach. Maisaari and its surroundings also offer magnificent fishing waters. Maisaari has a children's playground and a kiosk next to the office. The popular meeting and camp school island has plenty of space for groups. The Antola house has been renovated into accommodation space, and it is also possible to stay in old barns or a cottage in the archipelago. Saunas can be rented affordably at an hourly rate.
