Malkasaari is located in eastern Helsinki, south of Rastila on Kallahti bay. The island's nature is parklike forest and a rocky shoreline. Malkasaari has a sandy beach suitable for swimming and plenty of picnic spots, and the island's nature is forest-like. The island has a sauna, a barbecue area, a toilet and a boat dock. At Malkasaari you can go to the sauna for free on three Wednesdays in July. The sauna is heated on July 9, 16, and 23 from 12 to 5 pm. It operates on a non-stop basis as a mixed sauna, where swimwear is mandatory. The benches fit 6 people at a time, and bathers are asked to take turns cheerfully so that everyone has room and a warm moment in the steam.
