Lonna is a small former mine-clearing island next to Suomenlinna. It can be reached from May to the end of September in 10 minutes by water bus from the Market Square. A fine sauna building made of solid logs, with cozy loft saunas. Washing is done downstairs, the hatch stove is on the intermediate level, and the benches are upstairs. The shower is outdoors. You can swim in the sea, but there is no jetty. The bottom has slippery rocks. You can also admire passing cruise ships up close from the sauna window, if it isn't steamed up. Nowadays both saunas are mixed-gender every day. Separate fairly small changing rooms. Group changing rooms and a unisex changing room are located in a separate building.
