Joksala is a tourist destination of about six hectares located on Lake Eväjärvi in Jämsä, built by Jouko Sohlman (1946–2024). The area comprises several hand-built buildings constructed without electricity, forming a small Kalevala-style village intended for self-sufficient, natural living. Beneath the site lies an extensive network of tunnels and a survival bunker, built to prepare for disasters. Opening in June 2026, the area will feature a freely accessible nature trail and a grill shelter, as well as a summer café operating during opening hours. Paid guided tours are organized for visitors, including a look at the tunnel network and the buildings.
