Kilpisjärven biologinen asema

The Kilpisjärvi Biological Station, operating under the University of Helsinki, offers its overnight visitors, such as students, researchers and other groups, the possibility to use two different saunas. The lakeside sauna, located on the shore of the lake, is wood-heated and includes a cabin, kitchen, and a dock for swimming. It is mainly used during the snow-free season. The station's main building also houses an electrically heated sauna. Sauna slots can be booked either together with an accommodation reservation or on site, and during peak season, general sauna slots are also available for students and researchers.
