Gåshällan is meant to be available for everyone to use. Those who wish can take a dip in the sea and enjoy the wood-heated sauna and use the grill spot. Metsähallitus rents the area to Skepparklubben Närpes ry, which has operated at Gåshällan since 1970. The association's members take care of, among other things, the maintenance of the pilot cabin, the jetties, the boathouse, the sauna, the grill cabin, and the play cabin.
