Hukkatupa Village House

Located in Sydänmaa, Alavus, on the shore of Lake Kuorasjärvi, Hukkatupa is a village house and lakeside sauna offering facilities for various events and for accommodation. Inside the village house there is a hall, a kitchen with basic tableware, a dining and serving area, and a toilet, and the building can hold a party of about 60 people. In addition to the steam room and dressing room, the lakeside sauna has a sauna cabin equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker and a sofa bed that makes overnight stays possible. The sauna itself has a traditional wood-heated stove, a cold water tap and a separate cauldron for heating washing water. In the yard there are a barbecue shelter, a volleyball court, a dry toilet, a large pier and the child-friendly Kuorasjärvi beach maintained by the town of Alavus. The property and the sauna are rented out for both hourly and daily use, and for members of the village association the rental prices are lower than for outside bookers.
