At Tuomiojärvi there is a sauna built by the Jyväskylä Region Winter Swimmers association. The sauna is available year-round to those who have paid the membership fee. A personal wristband is required for entry. The Jyväskylä Region Winter Swimmers is an active winter swimming club with about 2,400 members. The association's other (saunaless) winter swimming spots are in Köhniö, Palokka, Tikka and Vaajakoski.
