The Mustankallio water tower is a water tower located in the Kivimaa district of Lahti and maintained by Lahti Aqua. Originally known as the Metelinmäki water tower, the elevated reservoir was brought into use in 1963. The tower's reservoir has a capacity of 1,000 cubic metres, and through it water is distributed during the daytime to the Mustankallio, Kiveriö, Tonttila and Pyhättömänmäki areas, after the reservoir has been filled at night from the Löyttymäki pressure zone. The building is 50 metres high, and its topmost floor is located 109 metres above the surface of Lake Vesijärvi and 190 metres above sea level. The diameter of the tower at its widest point is about 23 metres. At the top of the water tower there are meeting and training facilities available for rent for corporate use, as well as a sauna section. The facilities are not rented to private individuals.
