Silver Backwoods is a caravan area of the Caravan Association of Peräpohjola, located on the bank of the Simojoki river. The area has about 120 electrified caravan pitches. Silver Backwoods is open all year round, and from mid-September to mid-May it operates as a self-service area. Two cottages are available for rent at the site. The Simojoki is a free-flowing salmon river, where in winter you can ice-fish for perch and catch burbot with hooklines.
