Isosaari Camp Center

Isosaari camp center is located on Isosaari island in Kulkkila, in Paarlahti, Teisko. The parishes acquired ownership of the five-hectare island in 1935. Originally, the place was used for boys' activities, and a log cabin building was built there for campers. From the 1950s onward, the island was taken into use for confirmation school students. For this purpose, accommodation, dining and teaching facilities designed by architect Pentti Turunen were built on the site in 1964–1965. The building stock has since been added to and renovated as needed. The buildings have reached the end of their technical service life, and are damaged in many places.
