The city of Kangasala and the business and tourism company Business Kangasala Oy organized a call for operators to develop the Kisaranta area on the shore of Lake Längelmävesi. The call ended on 31.5.2024. By the deadline, three proposals were received, of which Saunaravintola Viilee was chosen. Behind the sauna restaurant idea are five local entrepreneurs: Henna and Julia Hieta-aro, Jenni Peltonen, and Outi and Ville Mäenpää. The chosen operator will be allocated approximately 6,000 m2 of land from Kisaranta. The purpose of the sauna restaurant is to offer leisure and wellness services. During the winter season, the offering will meet the demand for winter swimming spots.
