Cabin Island has areas administered by both Uuvi and Metsähallitus. Together they form a recreational and nature conservation area consisting of fine landscapes, diverse nature and a valuable war-historical cultural heritage, including old defensive structures and gun emplacements. Cabin Island can also be reached by connecting ferry by those who do not have a boat of their own.
