Oulu Climbing Center is a versatile indoor climbing hall located in the historic old power plant in Toppila, designed by Alvar Aalto in the 1930s. The center offers facilities for both beginners and more experienced enthusiasts, and no prior experience, own equipment, or reservation is needed to try it out. The facilities are divided into four parts: an impressive 16-meter-high rope hall, the old and new bouldering halls, and auto-belay walls. There is a wide range of activities on offer, as the center offers various courses from a starter course to a lead climbing course, allows organizing group events such as children's birthday parties or bachelor/bachelorette parties, and offers coaching services.
