The Icebreaking Company is a tourism business operating in Kemi and on Svalbard in Norway, with its main location in the area of the Kemi SnowCastle. The company organizes arctic cruises and activities, and offers accommodation, restaurant, meeting and sauna services. Icebreaker cruises form part of the company's operations. During Kemi's winter season from December to April, the program includes cruises on the icebreakers Sampo and Arktis on the Bay of Bothnia, which include ice floating and walking on the sea ice. The icebreaker Arktis also operates during the summer season in July–August in the waters of Svalbard. In the area of the Kemi SnowCastle, the company maintains a year-round snow sculpture exhibition, a winter park open during winters, and a gemstone gallery. Accommodation is available in the area's glass villas as well as at the campsite. The area also has a restaurant, and meeting rooms as well as sauna facilities with sea views can be rented there. The company offers its services both to individual travelers and to groups and corporate clients through its own destination marketing company.
