Riuttaskorven sauna

Rental use or for members only or for customers only

The Riuttaskorpi sauna is a rental sauna maintained by Metsähallitus Parks & Wildlife Finland, located at Haukijärvi in the Riuttaskorpi recreational forest, and it is in use from May to October. The sauna is rented out in its entirety for private use for a fixed period. In addition to the steam room, the building includes a washroom and a fireplace or dressing room, as well as a small terrace, but staying overnight in the premises is prohibited. There is no electricity or running water at the site, so the sauna and the washing water are heated with wood. Washing water is fetched by yourself from the adjacent lake or the well and heated in a separate water cauldron. The dry toilet, well and cooking shelter located in the immediate vicinity of the sauna are also in shared use by other hikers in the area. The sauna is located less than a 200-metre walk from the Haukijärvi parking area, and its key is collected from a coded key box attached to the building.
