This sauna has public shifts

Basecamp Oulanka is located at the southernmost point of the national park, along Finland's most popular hiking trail, the Bear's Trail (Karhunkierros). The day hiking route Little Bear's Trail (Pieni Karhunkierros) runs around the area. The Kitkajoki river with its canyons and rapids offers nature experiences. Accommodation consists of two log hotel buildings with a total of 18 rooms. For hotel guests, sauna is included in the room price. The hiking sauna operates in a traditional lakeside sauna, from which you can refresh yourself in the waters of Lake Juuma from your own sandy beach. The traditional wood-heated lakeside sauna and fireplace lounge offer soft löyly and an authentic Finnish sauna atmosphere. The building has a steam room, washroom, changing room and fireplace lounge. Washing water is pumped from the lake and heated in a kettle. Duckboards lead directly to the sandy beach and swimming in Lake Juuma. The sauna located in the main building has an electric stove. The sauna area includes a shower room, changing room and toilet. On the terrace there is a bubble tub where you can relax. The saunas can also be rented for private use for groups and events.
