Peace Castle was completed in 1900. The ornate villa was designed and built by Major General Nils Henrik Agaton Weckman of the Russian Imperial Board of Fortification Engineers as a silver wedding anniversary gift for his wife, Alma Emilia Sofia Weckman. In 2019, Kyösti Kakkonen bought the villa at a forced auction for 650,000 euros and restored it to its former glory for over 10 million euros. As part of the renovation, the villa has been equipped for high-end use to serve the most demanding clients, such as state visits, international guests and large corporations. There are a total of 20 beds - 10 double bedrooms or apartments. Peace Castle has its own helicopter pad. The helicopter journey from Helsinki takes 1.5 hours.
