The Secret Sauna is located near Wānaka, on the shore of Lake Hāwea, about a 15-minute drive from the town. The wood-heated barrel sauna opens directly onto the lake, and the view over the mountains highlights the peace and closeness to nature of the place. Bathers can alternate between the hot heat and the cold lake water in contrast therapy. Both shared and private sauna sessions are available for groups (8–12 people). A warm lounge pavilion and free herbal tea are available for warming up and cooling down afterwards. This intimate, off-grid experience attracts nature lovers and those seeking peace and recovery.
