Köyhyydenkylä is a restored museum area located in Rautionmäki, Sumiainen, which is rented out for organizing various parties, meetings and other events. The area was built through volunteer work from recycled materials to depict life of the past, and it got its name from the fact that, apart from nails, no material costs were incurred in the construction. The main building of the village is the large Riihipirtti, whose hall has been erected on the foundation of a burned-down cowshed. The area also includes the Äänekoski house, which resembles historical worker housing, a dugout containing wartime artifacts, and the Elämänkivet statue vault. For sauna bathing, Köyhyydenkylä has a traditional smoke sauna and a stone sauna, and the yard also has a lean-to shelter. The area has no shore or lake of its own.
