Salpalinjanhovi has been renovated from the old log-built Rutola village school, and its six home-like apartments are decorated thematically according to different school subjects. Each apartment has its own kitchenette, bathroom and TV, and there is free parking in the hotel's yard. The hotel's name refers to its location on the historically significant Salpa Line, and right next to the hotel are large troop caves built in the mid-20th century, to which expert guided tours are organized. The surroundings offer plenty of activities, such as hiking on the nature trails of Näkkiniemi and the shores of Lake Saimaa, as well as canoeing and fishing in the waters of the Kymijoki river or Lake Saimaa. In addition to accommodation, Salpalinjanhovi offers facilities for organizing various parties, wellness days, meetings and school camps.
