Heit Sørfjorden Sauna is situated in the picturesque Hardanger region of Norway. This specific facility invites guests to enjoy a steaming sauna session paired with refreshing dips in the fjord, all while taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, the fjord itself, and the glacier. The operation is run by Therese (Tessa) Mæhle and Ander De Uriber, a couple with backgrounds in ecology and forestry who moved from Oslo and the Basque Country, respectively. They settled at Nedre Børve in Hardanger to revitalize an old farm. In addition to running the sauna, which sits below their farm on the slope, they are engaged in apple growing, beekeeping, apple juice production, and renting out small houses to summer guests.
