The traditional Pyynikki Swimming Hall is one of the first swimming halls in our country. It was opened in 1956 and has been renovated several times over the years. The hall was closed in December 2007 for a complete renovation. After many different stages, the renovation was completed in the summer of 2012. Pyynikki Swimming Hall is a site protected by the Finnish Heritage Agency, so the renovation of the pool section has been carried out with respect for the old.
