The University of Helsinki's Lammi Biological Station is located in Kanta-Häme on the shore of Lake Pääjärvi and offers top-class facilities for research and teaching in the natural sciences all year round. The station serves researchers, students and visitors by providing an extensive research infrastructure, work spaces and assistance with sampling and analyses. The services in the area include accommodation, a restaurant, sauna facilities and premises for organising meetings, seminars and courses. The surrounding nature of coniferous forests, groves and field landscapes creates excellent settings for various experimental arrangements, and the area also has science and nature trails that are open to all. In winter you can swim in an ice hole.
