The Outpost Lodge

The Outpost Lodge is an all-inclusive Arctic retreat located in Mårdsel, Swedish Lapland, just south of the Arctic Circle. Originally a village post office, the building has been converted into a private lodge that operates from November to April. The lodge accommodates groups of 2 to 12 people on an exclusive-use basis. The three-level building features five bedrooms, a kitchen, lounges, a dining area, and a basement with an electric sauna and a dedicated boot room for changing winter gear. External facilities include a hot tub on the veranda and access to an open-air dining area on a nearby mountain. Activities focused on the Arctic environment include full-day snowmobile tours to the Arctic Circle, dogsledding, ice fishing on frozen lakes, and snowshoe treks. The location is selected for its lack of light pollution, facilitating northern lights viewing within a short walk of the property. The culinary service emphasizes local Norrland flavors and regional heritage, supplemented by a selection of wines from the on-site cellar.
