Sahanlahti Resort is a tourist center located on the shore of Lake Saimaa in Puumala, built into a historical sawmill setting. The area's history dates back to the 1700s, when a water-powered sawmill was established there. Accommodation options include hotel rooms, modern villas, and traditional storehouses and cottages. Restaurant services consist of three different restaurants: the main restaurant Koskivahti offers local food with scenic views, the summer-only Rantamakasiini serves as a more relaxed dining spot, and Pajapirtti is a reservation-only restaurant with an open fire. The area also has a guest marina, the Niskalampi smoke sauna, and facilities for meetings and celebrations. It is located along the Puumala archipelago route.
