Tikankolo was originally built as a lodging place for foresters in the mid-1900s and now serves as a wilderness cabin. It has its own beach and dock. The shore is abruptly deep and there is a large rock in front of the dock. The western Valklammentie parking lot is located about 1 kilometer from Tikankolo.
