Tapojoki is an alcohol- and drug-free hiking, recreation and holiday property maintained by Väentupa ry, located in the municipality of Kolari at the confluence of the Äkäsjoki and Tapojoki rivers. The site comprises a plot of about 10 hectares on the banks of the two rivers and is intended for use by private individuals, families with children and groups alike. The accommodation is a two-storey, electrically heated log house built in the late 1940s, with about 25 beds, a fully equipped kitchen, an air source heat pump and an electric sauna. In the yard, right by the Tapojoki river, there is also a separate wood-heated sauna.
