Lapland Riverside Cabin, also known as the Winter Swimming Hideaway on the Äkäsjoki, is a solid-log cabin located on the bank of the Äkäsjoki river in Kolari. The cabin has a combined living room and kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed, and a low 21-square-meter loft with four separate beds. The building has an indoor toilet, a covered terrace, and a wood-heated sauna, next to which there is a cold water pool or winter swimming hole fed by a natural spring. Running water comes into the kitchen from the spring or the river depending on the season, and a shower is only available during the summer season. As additional services, it is possible to book rental of electric-assisted fat bikes as well as guided fishing and hunting trips in connection with the stay.
