Vaakkoin eräkämppä

The Vaakkoi wilderness cabin is a simple cabin maintained by Helsinki Ski Track on the shore of Pihlajalampi in the northern part of Nuuksio. The cabin and the sauna are both in shared use by members. At the cabin you can enjoy the sauna, sit by the campfire, swim from the pier, go rowing or stay overnight in wilderness-hut style. Around it opens up the wilderness-like Vaakkoi outdoor recreation area and the Vaakkoi pond. Only adult members of the Helsinki Ski Track and Trail Association can make reservations for Vaakkoi. Visitors heat the sauna themselves and carry the firewood and water to the sauna. Members' guests are welcome to come and get to know Vaakkoi. One member may bring 1–2 guests at a time to Vaakkoi. The cabin and the sauna can be rented entirely for one's own use by separate agreement. The premises can be rented for private events only between 1 November and 30 April.
