Havtornen is a building located in the Inner Harbour of Vaasa, serving as the student union house of the Student Union of Åbo Akademi. Originally built as the grain elevator tower of the Vaasa Steam Mill and used for unloading ships, the tower was renovated for its current purpose in 2007. In addition to the student union's Vaasa office, the building houses various gathering, meeting and party spaces, which are also rented out to outside individuals and companies. The site's main party venue is a reception space named the Living Room, suitable for events of up to 40 people, with a small kitchen attached. From the Living Room there is access to a spacious outdoor terrace with a view of the sea. On the building's third floor there are two smaller meeting rooms, reached via a spiral staircase. In addition, the premises include a sauna facility with its own washing and changing rooms.
