The Alkio Institute is a folk high school that offers the widest selection of open university and university of applied sciences studies in Finland. At the Tähtiniemi campus on the shore of Lake Päijänne, you can study in various fields of education and complete, for example, pathway studies towards a degree. Part of the Alkio Institute is the Tähtelä course and camp centre, which manages the lakeside sauna.
