Ähtäri Camping is a campsite and holiday village located on the shore of Lake Hankavesi, operating in the immediate vicinity of the Ähtäri Zoo. Accommodation options include fifteen year-round cottages with saunas, 24 summer-use camping cabins, around a hundred RV/caravan spots, most equipped with electrical connections, and a tent camping area. The RV area is closed during the winter months from November to April, and the campsite reception serves daily during the summer season. Located near a shallow-shored swimming beach, the area has a beach sauna, a laundry room, grilling spots, a mini-market, and a café-restaurant with an alcohol license. There is a playground for children, and pets are welcome in the area, where they also have their own swimming spot.
