This sauna has public shifts

In the same yard area as the museum's smoke sauna is a crofter's cottage, which along with its artifacts depicts the housing and way of life of people of that time. In the smoke sauna, grain has been dried for threshing and the family has bathed. The cowshed building has an abundance of artifacts, among other things for food preparation and handicrafts. The smoke sauna is heated once a year in late summer. The sauna session is a mixed-gender swimsuit sauna. Washing takes place in the yard with cold water. Between sauna sessions, one can also explore the museum's buildings from the inside or buy food and drink.
