Palotarus

Palotarus is a course and camp center of the Finnish National Rescue Association (SPEK), located amid nature by a body of water. The center has modern training facilities suitable for about 36 people. Accommodation is available in the main building for 36 people in rooms for two and four. The area also has eight two-person cabins and two semi-detached houses, which are available during the summer season from April to October. Palotarus has two waterfront saunas with docks on the shore of Lake Iso-Tarusjärvi. For dining, the main building has a kitchen for about 40 people, and the area also has an institutional kitchen for about 150–200 people as well as a summer kitchen. The center provides facilities for meetings, courses, seminars and staff wellbeing days from April to the end of November.
