Oulu Parishes' Rokua Camp Center

The Rokua camp center, owned by the Oulu Parish Union, is located on the shore of Lake Saarinen in the eskers and hill landscapes of Rokua. The site is suitable for organizing camps, courses, meetings and celebrations throughout the year, and it has been designed to take into account people with mobility impairments and hearing difficulties with accessible solutions, a wheelchair lift and induction loops. The camp center has a total of 78 bed spaces on two floors. The rooms are mainly four-person rooms, equipped with bunk beds, toilets and showers. The dining hall in the main building is sized for 75 people, and the facilities also include a 100-person sacral space equipped with a fireplace and a mini-kitchen, a quiet room, and three separate group work spaces that can be combined into one large space if needed. Meal services are ordered through the camp center, and a minimum charge for 20 people applies to meals. In the yard area and near the shore there are a grill shelter, a camp church, campfire spots and a large yard area with the possibility of pitching tents and playing basketball and volleyball. Guests have access to a winter swimming sauna, canoes, boats and snowshoes.
