Hyvärilä is a youth and tourism center located on the shore of Lake Pielinen, one of Finland's eight national youth centers. The area operates on the grounds of a former farm and offers diverse services for youth groups, travelers, and businesses alike throughout the year. There are several accommodation options, such as hotel rooms, holiday apartments, the hostel-type Rantatupa, and a campsite with cottages and caravan sites. Restaurant Pielinen serves breakfast and lunch buffets daily, emphasizing local food and organic ingredients. The area also has several saunas, meeting facilities, and a large multipurpose hall, PielisAreena. Recreational opportunities are extensive and include padel and disc golf courses, a swimming beach, and a variety of outdoor trails. Hyvärilä offers rental equipment for different seasons, such as fatbikes, canoes, SUP boards, and skiing gear. The center also organizes school camps, themed camps, and international youth activities, and its facilities are suitable for hosting even large celebrations and events.
