Located in Oulu's Hupisaaret, along Lasaretinväylä, Sahasaari is a historical island that got its name from a water-powered sawmill founded in 1731. Mills, sawmills and a power plant have previously operated in the area from the 1600s all the way to the 1930s. Today, on the island surrounded by the streams of Ainola Park, there is a rentable, architect-designed log building that offers spaces for various parties, meetings and sauna evenings. The building has separate party, seminar and sauna spaces that can be rented for different purposes. The party space is suitable for events of up to 70 people, such as weddings or birthdays. The seminar space, in turn, provides facilities for corporate events and meetings. The sauna space has a wood-surfaced log sauna with a Tulikivi stove and Lapland-style benches. As an additional service, it is possible to rent our Drop hot tub in connection with the sauna session.
