Barbossauna is a seaside sauna experience located on Aberdeen’s beachfront, set inside a beautifully converted horsebox. Founded in 2023 by Brazilian sauna enthusiast Fabio Barbosa, it quickly became a popular spot for both locals and international visitors. The sauna is wood-fired and heats to between 70-95 °C, giving guests the chance to enjoy an authentic hot steam session while looking out across the North Sea. There’s an on-site changing room, public toilets only a short walk away, and free parking nearby. Sessions are available daily, all year round, with times varying by day—from early mornings to late afternoons or evenings—making it easy to fit a visit into any schedule. Guests can book a one-hour session or opt for a private hire for up to six people. Visitors often combine the sauna with a refreshing sea dip or a relaxing walk along the shore, turning it into a full wellness ritual that’s both invigorating and restorative. The experience is made even more memorable thanks to Rocky, the friendly Labrador mascot, whose presence adds to the warm and inviting atmosphere.
