LYST Lofoten is a floating sauna experience located in the harbor of Svolvær, offering visitors a unique blend of wellness and spectacular Arctic scenery. Situated on a jetty in front of the Thon Hotel, the facility features two distinct communal saunas, Fløya and Blåtind, which provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the open sea. Guests can alternate between the intense heat of the wood-paneled interiors and refreshing cold plunges directly into the fjord, utilizing either the swimming ladder or the rooftop diving board. Run by a local volunteer association, the sauna aims to promote the health benefits of contrast bathing while serving as a social gathering point for both locals and travelers to enjoy the midnight sun or northern lights.
