This sauna has public shifts

Finland's oldest public sauna, built in the early 1900s. Tampere's only public neighborhood sauna. There are no showers; instead, washing is done on the lower level of the sauna using water from buckets and ladles taken from a water basin. Outside you can sit and cool off. There are separate saunas and changing rooms for men and women. On the last Thursday of the month, the door between the saunas is open and both saunas are available to everyone. In the women's side sauna you can throw water on the stove (löyly), and the men's side sauna has a milder heat. On the last Wednesday of the month there is a quiet sauna. (information from 2025)
