Kuuskajaskari

Kuuskajaskari is a former Defence Forces defence and training fortress located off the coast of Rauma in the Bothnian Sea National Park. It is the largest island in Rauma's central archipelago, about 30 hectares in size, and rises up to 15 metres above sea level. Visitors can stay on the island in cabins or in a tent. Services include a restaurant as well as the café-restaurant Wanha kasarmi, which has an outdoor terrace. The island also has a guest harbour, where daytime mooring is free of charge. Activities on offer include guided tours of the island's military sites, a diving park for children and canoeing. The sites include gun emplacements with their guns, a maritime surveillance tower, a fire control tower, a woodchip trail and trenches. A geology trail and a stone workshop provide information about the island's bedrock.
