Woodside Sauna is a sauna located in Greytown, offering relaxation and a connection with nature without distractions. The sauna is handcrafted from local macrocarpa, which gives off a pleasant natural scent. The sauna is heated by a wood-burning stove, which creates a soft glow and warms the sauna to about 80 °C. Sheep's wool is used as insulation, an ecological and effective choice. The sauna is set in a peaceful environment with planted native plants and ferns. The outdoor area has a relaxation space and a cold water shower, which round out the sauna experience. All the lighting runs on solar panels, adding to the place's ecological value. Woodside Sauna is open in the evenings by advance booking only. The sauna comfortably fits 2–4 people, but coming as a pair is recommended. Bookings can be made through Petra by phone or via Facebook.
