Anterinmukka Wilderness Hut

The Anterinmukka open wilderness hut is located in Urho Kekkonen National Park. The site is a demanding wilderness destination, intended for free and shared resting and overnight use by independent hikers. The hut is open all year round, and you can stay there for one or two nights at a time without an advance reservation. The hut, built from large dead standing pines (kelo), has sleeping places for 11 people. The hut's equipment includes a wood stove for heating and a gas cooker for preparing food. There is no ready drinking water point in the area, so hikers must purify natural water before drinking it. The site also has no waste management, which obliges visitors to carry their own waste out of the terrain. Hikers must bring their own cooking utensils. Pets are welcome in the hut only with the consent of the other users present. The separate sauna in the yard has been closed from use for the time being due to a fire safety risk.
