Tvärminne Zoological Station is a zoological research station run by the university, offering accommodation, restaurant, and meeting services to visiting groups. The station organizes a wide range of guided science education and nature activities for groups. The program selection includes, among other things, getting acquainted with the station's research work and equipment, guided snorkeling trips, and collecting marine organisms and analyzing them in the laboratory using microscopes. Alongside the active research program, groups can also take part in nature trail tours, related themed quizzes, and guided forest bathing sessions focused on relaxation and sensing nature. In the nearby area, it is also possible to join guided excursions presenting bird migration and research. Customers can book a beach sauna located right by the sea, which offers the opportunity to swim year-round. A separate evening snack service can also be ordered in connection with sauna sessions.
